What makes you happy?
A question I should stop to ask myself more often because when I do I realise, it's been a while since I did something for me. Just me. People say fate controls your life. I say you control your own life. It is what you make of it, a sum of all the experiences you've had in the past. It is a direct result of the decisions you make, opportunities you grab or let go of and relationships you walk away from or invest in.
Being alone, in a quiet room, thoughts that I've repressed for a while tend to surface. Should I do what I always do or do I give in to them this time.Should I go through the emotions that come with those thoughts, deal with them and move on. It's easier said than done. Distracting myself would be the easiest thing to do though. Just indulge in something on the television so that my mind is consumed by the images in front of me. That way the thoughts in my head are the ones that are being fed, the ones being injected into my thought processes...less work, no strain of having to accept the decisions I've made.
Watching "The Secret" changed my life and the way I view everybody in it. I realise now more than ever, when you want something bad enough, with every fiber of your being, the entire universe conspires to get it for you. Not a few a people, no, the ENTIRE universe. It sets off a chain of events that bring you closer to what you want. The trick is not to indulge in the "wanting", however, immerse yourself in the "believing".
I'm a woman on a mission.
I'm a woman who knows what she wants and will not settle for anything else/less.
...because I'm a room without a roof. :)
